Long history of amber, from sticky resin in amber-producing forests till the nodule that can be found on the beach contributed to the exceptional beauty of the Polish Baltic Amber.
The Baltic amber is fossil resin originating some 40-35 million years ago. the richest deposits of amber can be found both around the Gulf of Gdansk.
Gdansk can be called an amber city. Its name, in numerous versions, emerges whenever amber and its origin is being mentioned. The Gulf of Gdansk is the place of the world's largest amber deposits.

Departure:
In English and German on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from June 1 to September 30, 2007.
